SELECTED WORKS NEWS PRESSSTATEMENT CV
HAROLD GARCIA V

I am interested in taking specific narratives from particular places and transforming them into an ethical archive of the symbiotic relationship between the animal world and the human beings of the time I am experiencing. This symbiotic relationship is present in my work as a mutualistic form, where both parties benefit from the interaction, or as a parasitic form, when one party benefits while the other is harmed.

My artistic practice focuses on the study of human nature. I observe what people do, not to judge their actions as right or wrong but to understand how their ethical limits are tested when they engage in excessive behaviors. When I work with different species of animals, I am referring to human characteristics and behaviors rather than the animals themselves.

I am interested in expressing and generating works to describe certain sensations about other people to understand the evolution and corrosion of ethical values within various ecological, political, and social contexts.
